CHARRO HAT

The charro hat was part of the stereotype of 20th century Mexican nationalism. The charro was a picturesque representative of Mexican folklore who became - and with it, his characteristic attire - into a mythical character and who would later leap into the film industry to become famous. Perhaps his origin is not as relevant as his cultural significance, but it is no coincidence that there, as part of that symbolic universe, his hat was also consolidated as a decoy of Mexican identity.
